As one of the OE Fellows (our name changed because it isn’t about the R) representing eCampusOntario at OE Global, The other fellows and I had the opportunity to talk about our activities as a fellow. We each discussed who we are, our journey into open and our current activities with eCampusOntario.
#OEGlobal18: Join @hj_dewaard, @MGtheID, @NurseKillam, @JessicaOReill17, and @JamesMSkidmore now for a 45-minute panel session during which they will describe their work with @eCampusOntario. The presentation will culminate in a discussion with attendees. #OEGFellows

As a group of fellows in Ontario, our stories resonated with the audience in different ways. Conversations with participants after the presentation indicated that we have some common stories about our journey into openness, the challenges and opportunities we have faced. Questions afterward suggested that the story of eCampusOntario’s support for the fellows was inspiring.
Anatomy of 21st century educators. Not sure if it’s intentional, but I love that “teacher for learning” is the first point 💜💜💜 #OEGlobal18 pic.twitter.com/lDAfrsuaP7

“The more that I explored it [open education], the more I realized I was an open educator without even knowing it.” @NurseKillam. I literally had the SAME thought when I first heard about open education back in early 2016. Definitely a career changer #OEGlobal18

@JessicaOReill17 reports a common theme in her work as an #OER Fellow 'we were already doing this thing without the words to describe the thing'.#eCampusOntario #OEP #OEGlobal18
