Challenges assessing reflection:

Marking reflections in a traditional way is challenging.

Reflection is not an intuitive skill. There are several levels according to Ryan’s (2013) model.

Jon recommends completion grades with marking guides.

After working through an activity Sven says it is possible to formalize reflective assessment without losing the heart of reflection.

Assessing reflection is difficult. This rubric has potential to help.

Co-constructing the rubric was suggested.

More peer review of rubrics could be helpful.
